Virginia Paul
As a teenager I enjoyed painting with pastels and drawing with graphite. After a 55-year hiatus, the urge to create with more color around on paper re-emerged. I used photography as my artistic expression for the last 15 years.
The internet is a vast source for instruction and inspiration; so I used my very old easel, new pastels and started my renewed source of expression.
My still life works are painted from real life set ups to help me avoid a “photo copy” look of my work and I am forcing myself to paint looser.
Alessa Berringer- Vintage Crochet
Alessa presented her work during a fashion show held at the Broadway Gallery in 2017 . She is a fabric artist who exhibits at McThread’s in Longview, WA.
