Artwork by Southwest Washington and Oregon artists.

The Northwest Art of Mitzi Christensen

Mitzi spent most of her life on the California coast and in Hawaii, loving the sea and spending endless hours on boats.

In 2001 she retired to Washington state. In her paintings you can see her love of water and the reflections cast by boats and nautical subjects.

Her love of strong bright colors, especially the blues and greens we see so much here in Washington, are rendered with painterly style. You can tell she knows her subjects well.

Mitzi says she likes beauty and peace in art and when she can create a painting that touches someone heart and brings them joy, it makes her happy!

Here’s a small gallery off Mitzi’s paintings, on display through April at The Broadway Gallery in Longview, Washington. Click any thumbnail to see a larger image.
