April heralds the beginning of spring. We are celebrating by looking at (and through) the beautiful stained glass works of Mona Noldan, and enjoying the quilted creations of Peggy Bodle.

About Mona Nolden – Stained Glass
I’ve been drawn to the beauty of glass all my life. The creative process is constantly evolving within me. As I finish one project, the next is already emerging. Every idea is a challenge; to make into a workable design that I can create in glass.
Fossils, shells, geodes and other organic items are frequently incorporated into my work. I take pride in producing quality artwork. I am always striving to learn new things to accommodate the creative process.
I enjoy doing custom work, and grudgingly will do repairs as well! I hope you enjoy my glass art as much as I enjoy creating it.

About Peggy Bodle – Quilts
I was born, raised and spent most of my early years in central Minnesota. Since graduating from a very small high school, I chose to attend the University of Minnesota. By 1959 I had acquired a husband, a B. S. in elementary education and soon would have a little baby boy. Then my husband was to finish his degree. By 1963, he had his B.S.in Fish and Wildlife management and we had our first daughter. His job took us to SD, NY, MI, OH and finally to Washington.
Along the way, I taught in each of those states and we had another daughter. We stayed in the Columbia River Gorge until 10 years ago, when we sold our house and moved to Longview. We now have five grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
While in college, I took as many art classes as I could. Later, I had the opportunity to take classes in oil painting, watercolor, tole painting and calligraphy. I had always sewed my clothes and loved sewing, knitting, crocheting, embroidery. Then I discovered quilting and machine embroidery, and the rest is history!
