The theme for my show at the Broadway Gallery will be “ A Tropical Holiday.” As winter approaches, I anticipate a long season of cold, wet weather without a respite. My favorite getaway in the winter is to a tropical location with all its bright colors and exotic scenery. I have always been inspired to paint when in a tropical paradise! My favorite activity is snorkeling and I have tried many times to capture the magic of the underwater world in my paintings. I hope my display gives everyone who views it a sense of warm tropical breezes and the easy pace of relaxation that being in the tropics bring. These are not new paintings, just paintings that give me that good feeling that I want to share with you.
Painting allows me to focus on and celebrate the things in life that I find good and meaningful and share them with my audience.

PeiPei Hsu Wallace

Peipei has been a member of the Broadway Gallery for a decade and in recent years she started teaching ceramics at LCC in spring and summer. Being an instructor, she helps students develop their skills but, at the same time, is also inspired by students. Her work has always involved wheel throwing and sculpting as well as prints and sgraffitos. She enjoys making different forms and combining different clay to achieve various designs in her work. Being playful is essential to her work, and hopefully it shows.
