CHRIS WISE is a recent transplant from the Bitterroot Valley of Montana, now in Silverlake WA. Her work is primarily in ceramics and painting, watercolors, oils and acrylics. Her ceramic work includes wheel thrown, hand built and sculptural. She has focused the last year on exploring Sgrafitto, (Italian for “scratch”), carving designs into white clay through a black underglaze before firing. A self confessed ‘monkey brain’, Chris finds it difficult to pass up an opportunity to explore a new medium. So much art, so little time. She has had the privilege of offering her work in galleries in California, Montana, and Washington, and is a member of the Columbian Artists Association.
