Ray Baxter – Painting

Ray Baxter

Ray paints subjects that inspire him. His philosophy is that if he isn’t inspired, how can he inspire others?

Ray draws his subjects from his joys in life… people, travel, the outdoors and animals.

Bold colors are a must for Ray. He also relies on light, textures and perspective to bring his paintings to life.

Each painting is a story. Viewers will find some portions of the painting more detailed than others. Ray’s objective is to highlight some of the story, but let the viewer add their perspective to the story also. Because of this, people see the same painting very differently.

Ray’s hope is each viewer will enjoy their story.

It should be noted that Ray’s father and many other talented artists have acknowledged his talent and helped him develop his own style.  He’s lived in various locations but currently considers Ridgefield, Washington his home since 2008.
