Jeannette Fedorka- Sculpture and Glass
Art for me is in nature and nature expresses herself in animals. I work in two almost opposite mediums, in the hardness of fused glass and the softness of wool and animal fur. What I am presenting at the Broadway Gallery is 3 dimensional works in wool and fur. The technique is felting and it employees the use of barbed needles that tangle the cuticles of the fibers creating a firm yet soft form.
I taught myself how to do this in October 2011 while recuperating from knee surgery and fell in love with the how well it works for animals. My works are 3 D and what I refer to as 2.5 D portraits and storytelling pictures.
It is my pleasure to offer custom sculpture and 2.5 D portraits from your photos.
Jan and Linda Johnson-Photography
Jan and Linda Johnson as an avocation have been photographers most of their lives. Both are long-term members of the Monticello Camera Club, and Linda serves as color print chair for the Columbia Council of Camera Clubs. They have served as official photographers for the Vancouver Rodeo and as photography department superintendents at the Cowlitz County Fair. Their first love is the landscape and wildlife of the Northwest, which provides inspiration and ample occasion for the practice of photography. Linda prefers color photography and Jan of late has focused on monochrome images.
Our Northwest neighborhood provides spectacular vistas and wildlife, which provide inspiration for artists and photographers alike.
