Patty McMahan
I have been an artist since I drew eyelashes on my paper elephant in kindergarten. Continuing through life and continuing my love for painting, I became a flower painter after moving to Oregon from southern California in 2004. I had the privilege of being a docent at the Portland Art Museum having fun with the school children. During the pandemic I took up flower arranging for fun and added that new dimension of artistic knowledge into my floral paintings. It all works together. I have traveled to many European countries over the years, appreciating the art history related to those countries. Traveling to the interior of Mexico has taught me to appreciate the diverse customs and cultures of that countrv. I have welcomed the vibrant and beautiful Mexican colors into my own artwork.
