We are committed to working within the community to enhance the lives of all residents. Our artists are involved in many ways. See below what wonderful things we do outside within Longview/Kelso:
The Broadway Gallery provides opportunities for those students in need to attend classes provided by our artist-teachers. Students fill out an application and delivery it to us. We then process it and allow the student to select what class they would like to attend. Students are allowed to attend one class per quarter.

Made With Love Project
Jamie Bayer’s mother started this project years ago and Jamie, a Broadway Gallery artist, is carrying on the tradition. This is our third year providing these items for the many in need in our community. Gallery members worked with Jamie for several months this year making scarf, hat, and glove sets. We contributed 78 sets to the Community House and Emergency Support Shelter in Longview.
Pictured below are this year’s donation which have already been delivered. Thanks to Jamie Bayer and Jane Gerdon for organizing this project. What a great way to help those in need! If you’d like to help with next year’s donation, please contact the gallery and Jamie Bayer. We’d love to get more people involved.
Gingerbread Haus Contest
As we have done for several years, the Broadway Gallery has hosted the Gingerbread Haus contest for children and adults. It’s an interesting event that involves some creative positioning. Participants bring in their houses and they are judged by the people for their creativity and unique characteristics. It’s very hard sometimes to just pick one. Here are some of the 2016 entries that received awards. They were on display through Christmas.
