Woodturning

Half a dozen years ago, when I was experiencing wear and tear on my hands and a lack of direction in my art, I embarked on other endeavors, and my art became secondary. Because I found myself freer to explore new ideas, it became more fun. But it also became occasional because it had to compete with more activities.

I have not abandoned artwork, nor have I abandoned wood as a medium. Lately, however, much of my artistic energy has been devoted to graphic designs to accompany letterpress poetry broadsides that my husband prints. It is a collaborative process that involves all our negotiation skills and no small investment of time.
